Karter Knox, a talented 6-foot-5 forward for the Crusaders rising senior team, possesses great offensive skills. With a smooth outside shot, he can score in three different ways: hitting 3-pointers, executing effective pull-up shots, and attacking the basket aggressively. Defensively, Knox is a force to be reckoned with as he fearlessly takes charges, blocks shots, and effectively shuts down opposing players.

Unfortunately, the Crusaders' season faced a major setback nearly four months before its scheduled start, grounding their flight plans. Knox has made the decision to not play for Tampa Catholic this season due to three significant factors:

1. Name, image, and likeness (NIL): The ability to benefit financially from his own name and image played a key role in his choice.

2. Knox has relocated to Atlanta to join Overtime Elite, a professional basketball league designed for 16- to 20-year-old players. This unique league offers players the option to receive a six-figure salary or scholarship funds while still maintaining their college eligibility.

3. Since Overtime Elite operates independently from the state's governing body for high school sports, and Georgia lacks a regulation that prohibits high school athletes from monetizing their likeness, Knox can legally earn money while still being considered a prep athlete, as confirmed by an organization spokesperson.
