On Tuesday, the Miami Hurricanes created a buzz in the 2024 recruiting class by successfully obtaining a commitment from Austin Swartz, a highly-regarded four-star prospect.

Swartz, who stands at an impressive 6-foot-4 and weighs 180 pounds, plays as a shooting guard. Despite receiving offers from renowned universities such as UConn, Indiana, and Florida State, Swartz ultimately opted for Miami.

According to 247Sports' composite rankings, Swartz holds the No. 44 spot in the 2024 class and is recognized as the eighth top shooting guard. He proudly represents Hurricanes coach Jim Larrañaga's 2024 class as its inaugural member.

Originally from North Carolina, Swartz played a crucial role in Cannon School's successful 28-7 season last year.
