The game's final score between Stepinac and St. Raymond was 80-76 in favor of Stepinac. Boogie Fland had an impressive performance with 21 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, and one steal. Danny Carbuccia contributed with 20 points and seven assists, while Hassan Koureissi recorded 17 points, six rebounds, two blocks, and two assists. Braylan Ritvo added 15 points, three rebounds, and two steals to the Stepinac's victory.
Fland, a 6-foot-3 guard, holds second among point guards in the 2024 class, ranking at number 18 in the overall ESPN 100 for 2024. Fland played 22 games with the PSA Cardinals throughout the spring and summer, achieving an average of 14.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.
Fland's shooting abilities encompass both long-range and mid-range proficiency. He finds greater comfort when executing a shot following a rhythmic dribble rather than in situations requiring catching and shooting. At times, however, he displays moments of remarkable shot-making skills. Strengthening his physical power is crucial, as his slim physique makes him vulnerable to being dispossessed of the ball.
Boogie Fland is a five-star guard who will be attending the University of Kentucky.
