The Jordan Brand Classic recently unveiled its 26-player roster on social media, showcasing some of the most promising talents in high school basketball. The event will boast 15 of the top 18 prospects in the Class of 2024, as rated by 247Sports. Notably, the senior classification includes seven standout players who have garnered significant attention for their exceptional skills.
Among the headliners is Cooper Flagg from Montverde Academy (Montverde, Fla.), Ace Bailey from McEachern (Powder Springs, Ga.), Dylan Harper from Don Bosco Prep (Ramsey, N.J.), V.J. Edgecombe from Long Island Lutheran (Brookville, N.Y.), Tre Johnson from Link Academy (Branson, Mo.), Jalil Bethea from Archbishop Wood (Warminster, Pa.), and Jayden Quaintance from Word of God Christian Academy (Raleigh, N.C.). These players have demonstrated remarkable talent and are set to make a significant impact during the showcase.
Furthermore, the Jordan Brand Classic provides an opportunity for players who were not initially selected for prestigious events like the McDonald's All-America Game or the Allen Iverson Classic to showcase their abilities. Darren Harris from Paul VI (Chantilly, Va.), Kon Knueppel from Wisconsin Lutheran (Milwaukee, Wis.), and Asa Newell from Montverde Academy have all received well-deserved invitations to the Jordan Brand Classic after being overlooked by other competitions.
Overall, the Jordan Brand Classic promises to be an exciting platform for these talented young athletes to demonstrate their skills, compete at a high level, and further solidify their positions as rising stars in the world of basketball.
Following a one-year break, the game is scheduled to take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.J. on April 21st.
