Three-Star Wing Zach White Commits to San Diego State — Dutcher Lands First 2026 Pledge

  09/29/2025

San Diego State has officially locked in its first member of its 2026 recruiting class. Zach White, a three-star wing out of Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California, announced his commitment to the Aztecs, giving Brian Dutcher his first pledge of the cycle.

Standing around 6’5”–6’6, White brings athleticism, defensive intensity, and a willing spirit to buy into team-first roles. In his commitment announcement, White praised the bond built with SDSU’s coaching staff, expressing that the environment and culture made the Aztecs the right fit.

Impact & Projection

  • As a defender-first wing, White’s strengths lie in transition play, guarding multiple positions, and finishing at the rim.

  • Offensively, he has shown the ability to knock down spot-up jumpers and move well in the flow of an offense — though expanding his shot creation will be key to rising at the next level.

  • He, adds depth to SDSU’s wing rotation and fits nicely into a culture that values defense, toughness, and unselfish play — traits that Dutcher’s teams have traditionally leaned on.

This commit is notable not just for White’s own trajectory, but because it marks the beginning of Dutcher’s 2026 recruiting haul. The Aztecs will surely continue pursuing more pieces, especially on the West Coast and at the forward/wing spots.

Congratulations to Zach White on taking this next step — Elite Hoops Spotlight will keep an eye on his development as he transitions to the Mountain West.
