Scouting Take & Projection
Wingfield combines length, athleticism, and strength to project as a high-upside frontcourt piece. He’s effective around the rim, competes on the glass, and shows flashes as a two-way forward who can defend multiple positions. His ability to stretch the floor and make plays in transition gives him versatility at the next level.
Areas for continued growth include sharpening his shot consistency, maintaining defensive discipline, and finishing through contact. With his physical tools and competitive edge, the ceiling is high as he develops within a structured system.
Fit at Georgia Tech & Outlook
For coach Damon Stoudamire, Wingfield represents the type of in-state talent Georgia Tech needs to keep home. Pairing him with fellow 2026 big man Moustapha Diop provides the Yellow Jackets with a promising frontcourt foundation. With Wingfield’s skill set and work ethic, he has the potential to contribute early and grow into a key piece in the ACC.
Congratulations to Jalan Wingfield on his commitment — Elite Hoops Spotlight will follow his journey closely.
