The Dynasty Continues

Long Island Lutheran (NY) has become one of the gold standards of high school basketball — and head coach John Buck is poised to keep that streak alive. As the 2025-2026 season approaches, the Crusaders are built for another deep national title run, aiming to make it four straight championship-caliber seasons.

Veteran Leadership Returns

At the center of it all is 2026 guard Dylan Mingo, fresh off a breakout spring and summer circuit that raised his national profile. Mingo’s blend of speed, shot creation, and poise makes him the tone-setter for everything LuHi does on both ends of the floor. Alongside him, key returnees 2028 Moussa Kamissoko and 2026 Omar Kessam provide size, versatility, and defensive energy — a trio that gives the Crusaders an experienced and cohesive backbone heading into the new campaign.

Talented New Faces Arrive

The Crusaders didn’t just reload — they reloaded with star power. The 2025-2026 roster welcomes several high-impact newcomers:

  • 2026 T.J. Crumble — A physical forward with inside-out scoring touch and college-ready strength.

  • 2026 Kayden Allen — Smooth, athletic wing who can defend multiple positions.

  • 2027 Jamal McKnight Jr. — A dynamic guard with advanced playmaking instincts.

  • 2027 Christian Proctor — Talented underclassman with a rapidly rising reputation on the national scene.

Together, these additions elevate LuHi’s depth, balance, and two-way potential — creating one of the most complete rosters in the country.

Eyes on a National Title

From the perimeter firepower to the frontcourt length, Long Island Lutheran looks every bit the part of a national championship contender once again. With the combination of returning leadership, elite coaching, and a wave of young talent, expect the Crusaders to be a fixture atop every major ranking in 2025-2026.
