Malik Lucas Erupts for School-Record 49 and 41 Points as Trillium Opens DMAC League Play 2–0
01/13/2026

Trillium Academy made a loud statement in division play, overwhelming Star 50 89–50 behind a historic performance from senior guard Malik Lucas, who poured in a school-record 49 points. Lucas was relentless from the opening tip, scoring at all three levels and setting the tone for a dominant Wildcats performance that never let up. His scoring outburst powered Trillium to a commanding lead and underscored their offensive firepower as they improved to 2–0 in division conference play.
The Wildcats weren’t done there. Fellow senior Tristian Scott delivered a huge momentum swing with 26 points in the third quarter alone, blowing the game wide open and showcasing Trillium’s depth and ability to apply pressure in waves. The Wildcats’ balance and pace remained intact as they controlled both tempo and execution throughout the night.
That performance followed another big win earlier in the week, as Trillium defeated Detroit CMA 79–66, again led by Lucas with 41 points, while Scott added 19 points and Elisha Joseph (Jr) chipped in 8 points. With elite shot-making, senior leadership, and confidence building by the game, Trillium Academy is quickly establishing itself as a force in the DMAC race.
