Frederick Douglass continued its strong season, improving to 10–4 with a convincing 76–56 win over Pershing (3–5), using balance, rebounding, and playmaking to take control. Senior Jeremiah Thurman set the tone as the floor general, finishing with 15 points and 8 assists, consistently creating quality looks and keeping the offense organized. Freshman Damani Oliver provided a major scoring boost with 18 points, showing confidence and poise beyond his class as Douglass built steady separation.

The interior presence of Kamari Howard proved to be a difference-maker, as the junior posted a strong double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds, controlling the glass on both ends. Sophomore Dimauvion Smith added 10 points and 8 rebounds, while freshman Taurean Wright chipped in 7 points, rounding out a collective effort that featured contributions up and down the lineup. With multiple underclassmen stepping up alongside veteran leadership, Frederick Douglass displayed depth and composure in another quality league win.
