Joey Arnold, a Class of 2028 point guard from Dearborn Divine Child, is a young prospect who continues to develop the foundation necessary to become an effective lead guard at the varsity level. As one of the younger players in Michigan's 2028 class, Arnold is beginning to establish himself through his feel for the game, decision-making, and ability to organize an offense.

During the June scholastic evaluation period, college coaches should focus on Arnold's command of the game and how he operates as a floor leader. Point guards are often evaluated less by scoring totals and more by their ability to control tempo, make sound decisions, limit turnovers, and consistently put teammates in positions to succeed. Those areas will be critical indicators of Arnold's long-term development.

Arnold's growth as a perimeter shooter, ball-handler under pressure, and defender will be important factors as he continues to progress through high school. Coaches will also be evaluating how he responds to physicality, handles game-changing moments, and impacts winning when facing experienced competition.

With several years of development still ahead of him, Arnold remains a prospect to monitor within Divine Child's program. His ability to continue expanding his skill set while embracing the responsibilities of the point guard position will play a major role in shaping his future recruiting outlook.
