Every summer, some players quietly build momentum, and others make college coaches stop and take notice. Cash Davis made sure people noticed.

The 6-foot-4 Class of 2027 guard from Foster High School put together a summer that reinforced his status as one of the rising backcourt prospects in Texas. After averaging 14.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists during the high school season, Davis elevated his play against some of the toughest competition on the grassroots circuit.

Competing with Rashard Lewis Academy, he consistently delivered in marquee matchups. Davis scored 22 points against defending UAA champion Texas Impact, followed by 17 points against defending PRO16 champion Cooz Elite, and finished with 16 points, seven rebounds, and four assists against Drive Nation. He also knocked down the game-winning three-pointer while recording 11 points and five assists against Gulf Coast Blue Chips, showing he isn't afraid of the moment when the game is on the line.

His performance at the TABC Showcase may have been his strongest statement. Davis averaged 21.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.7 assists per game, proving he could produce consistently while facing high-level competition.

What stands out most about Davis isn't just his scoring—it's how complete his game has become.

He has the size to play either guard position or the versatility to impact the game in several ways. He attacks the basket with confidence, finishes through contact, and has developed into a reliable scorer from both the mid-range and beyond the three-point line. When defenses collapse, he doesn't force difficult shots. Instead, he makes the extra pass, finds open teammates, and keeps the offense moving.

Defensively, Davis brings the same aggressive mindset. He anticipates passing lanes, forces turnovers that create transition opportunities, and competes with energy on every possession. His ability to contribute on both ends of the floor makes him much more than a scorer.

College programs have responded to that growth. Davis has reported scholarship offers from Nelson University, Louisiana Christian University, Central Christian College, Texas A&M–San Antonio, William Penn University, Tuskegee University, Texas A&M–Kingsville, Texas A&M–Texarkana, Winston-Salem State University, UT Tyler, St. Edward's University, Rider University, Houston Christian University, and Alabama State University.

He also earned recognition from GASO, 247Sports, and Ballislife, which each named him among their tournament standouts. Davis enters his senior season as a First Team All-District selection and is currently ranked No. 31 among Texas prospects across the combined 2027 and 2028 classes, while also being recognized among Houston's top shooting guards.

Cash Davis didn't build his recruiting momentum with one breakout weekend. He earned it by consistently performing against quality opponents throughout the summer.

His blend of size, scoring ability, playmaking, and defensive activity gives him the versatility that today's college coaches look for in a backcourt player. Whether he's creating his own shot, finding an open teammate, or making a winning play on the defensive end, Davis impacts the game in multiple ways.

As he heads into his senior season at Foster High School, expect his recruitment to continue gaining momentum. If he carries the same confidence, consistency, and all-around production into the high school season, don't be surprised to see even more programs join the list of schools pursuing one of Texas' rising 2027 guards.
