Henry Ford College lit up the scoreboard Saturday night in a statement win over Lorain County Community College, rolling to a 121–71 victory that showcased their offensive firepower and team chemistry from start to finish.

From the opening tip, the Hawks imposed their will — pushing pace, sharing the ball, and controlling the glass. Wade Robinson led the way with 27 points and 7 rebounds, displaying elite shot-making and confidence in transition. Fred Saunders added 24 points and 8 rebounds, scoring efficiently from the midrange and rim-running with purpose.

The most complete performance, however, might have come from Machi Chester, who flirted with a triple-double: 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 8 assists. Chester orchestrated the offense with poise, finding teammates in rhythm while still putting constant pressure on Lorain’s defense.

Inside, JL Branson provided toughness and a double-double of his own (14 points, 10 rebounds), while John Coffey gave a strong two-way effort with 14 points and 5 boards. Off the bench, Deunte Phifer and Aaron Allen chipped in versatile stat lines — combining for 18 points, 15 rebounds, and 6 assists — showing the depth that makes this Henry Ford roster dangerous.

The Hawks’ unselfish play and relentless energy had the crowd buzzing. With this dominant showing, Henry Ford continues to prove they’re one of the top JUCO programs in the region — a group capable of scoring in bunches while maintaining defensive discipline and rebounding edge.
