Brewster Academy pulled out a narrow 61–60 victory over Link Academy in a tightly contested La Porte Invitational matchup that came down to execution and timely scoring. Brewster was led by a balanced offensive effort, with Michai White scoring a team-high 18 points on 7-of-14 shooting while adding three assists, and Antonio Pemberton chipping in 17 points, seven assists, and key baskets in critical moments. Marcus Kerr added 12 points and six rebounds, helping Brewster stay competitive on the glass, while the team shot 47% from the field overall (26-55). Despite struggling from three-point range (5-23, 22%), Brewster made the most of its opportunities inside and finished a perfect 4-for-4 at the free-throw line.

Link Academy had multiple chances to swing the game but came up just short late. Tristan Reed was dominant around the rim, pouring in 18 points on an efficient 8-of-9 shooting while grabbing eight rebounds. Davion Thompson added 13 points, four rebounds, and four assists, and Carlos Medlock Jr. provided a steady all-around performance with nine points, five assists, three steals, and two blocks. Link shot 48% from the floor (25-52) and outrebounded Brewster 32–18, but key missed free throws (4-6) and Brewster’s ability to make winning plays in crunch time proved decisive. The one-point result reflected the back-and-forth nature of a high-level prep battle between two national programs.
