La Lumiere delivered a strong, wire-to-wire performance to defeat CATS Academy 81–62 at the La Porte Invitational, using efficiency, depth, and ball movement to control the game. La Lumiere shot an even 50% from the field (29–58) and 42% from three-point range (11–26), while also converting 12-of-14 free throws (86%). Ferlandes Wright led the charge with 17 points on 5-of-8 shooting, adding nine rebounds and five assists to anchor the all-around effort. Devin Cleveland followed with 18 points, four assists, and four steals, consistently applying pressure on both ends, while Jonathan Sanderson posted 15 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists in one of the most complete stat lines of the game.
CATS Academy competed but struggled to keep pace offensively, shooting 39% from the floor (25–64) and 27% from beyond the arc (7–26). Josiah Adamson led CATS with 12 points, while Ceick-Oumar Fadiga and Nicolas Mitrovic added nine points apiece. Despite winning the rebounding battle 32–30, turnovers (13) and inconsistent perimeter shooting made sustained runs difficult. La Lumiere’s ability to generate 22 assists, force 10 steals, and get contributions from multiple players proved decisive, as their depth and execution steadily wore down CATS Academy to close out another convincing tournament win.
